We are producing mostly bamboo plantlets through various vegetative propagation method and supply in large volume to all over the country. Khaladi Bamboo Nursery has been accredited by Odisha Bamboo Development Agency (OBDA), Dept. of Forest, Govt of Odisha on 3rd Sept 2021

About Us

Khalaid Agro Nursery was established under the guidance and motivation of experienced bamboo sector expert in October 2020.

The nursery is located at 16 acres of land with well-developed infrastructure. It has its own borewell, rainwater harvest ponds, shade net, electric connection, approach road and fencing around. All the workers are well trained.

We are producing mostly bamboo plantlets through various vegetative propagation method and supply in large volume to all over the country. The major use of our products are from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra , Kornataka, West Bengal  and Odisha. The key bamboo species available are Bambusa tulda, Dendrocalamus longispathus

Our Products

Bambusa Tulda (Mritinga/Jati)

Seed origin from North Tripura Districts (Tulda bans -Bengali, Jati Bans-Assam). one to two year old, 2 feet to 5 feet height, Rs 20/plant

Dendrocalamus Longispathus (Rupai)

Seed origin, from North Tripura district, one to two year old seedlings. Rs 20 per plant. It is a long-sheath bamboo, grows up to 20 m tall, called Rupai bans in Tripura.

Schizostachyum dulloa/Dolu

Also called Dolu in Tripura, seed origin from Tripura Assam boarder areas, one to two year old, Rs 40 per plant. Long internode between 40 – 75cm long, hallow & thin-walled, Grows well in shade, slopy area with high humidity, along the hill slops and nala sides. Used for making flute, kite, basket etc.

Silver Oak (Grevillea robusta)

Silver oak (Grevillea robusta) seedlings are planted in parks, gardens, agroforestry and reforestation projects for their fast growth and environmental benefits such as soil stabilization and habitat provision for wildlife. It is also grown in tea, coffee and black pepper plantation as shed tree. Plants are available in polybags of 5 inch X 4 inch, 7 inch X 5 inch size

Pterocarpus santalinus (Red Sandal)

Redsanders, red saunders, Yerra Chandanam, red sandalwood, Rakta Chandana, One year old seedlings from Tamilnadu, 6 inch X 7 inch polybag size, Rs. 40 per plant.

Bambusa Balcooa/Bhaluka (Assam) /Bhulka (Odisha) Bans/ Barak (Tripura) Bans): Minimum of one year old, Tissue Culture Origin and Branch cutting samplings of 2 ft to 5 ft height in polybags of 6 inch X 5 inch and 12 inch X 11 inch

Bambusa Bambus/Kanta Basn/Katang: Minimum of year old, seed origin, 2 ft to 5 ft height, in polybags of 6 inch X 5 inch and 12 inch X 11 inch size.

Bambusa Nutan : Minimum of year old, seed origin and TC origin, 2 ft to 5 ft height, in polybags of 6 inch X 5 inch and 12 inch X 11 inch size. It is a large, thick-walled, and mostly green-culmed bamboo that is cultivated in homesteads

White variegated bamboo: An ornamental bamboo with white or cream-striped green culms. Minimum of year old, 2 ft to 5 ft height, in polybags of 6 inch X 5 inch and 12 inch X 11 inch size.

Chocolate bamboo (Borinda fungosa, formerly Fargesia fungosa) is an ornamental, clumping mountain bamboo known for its striking, dark chocolate-red culms (canes) that contrast with bright green leaves. Native to the mountains of Yunnan, China. Prefers cool temperatures, partial shade (morning sun), and requires regular watering. It grows 14–18 feet tall, preferring cooler, shady climates and making it popular for privacy screens and centerpieces. Polybags of 6 inch X 5 inch size available.

Bambusa multiplex (commonly known as hedge bamboo, Chinese dwarf bamboo, or multiplex bamboo) is a popular clumping, non-invasive bamboo species known for its dense foliage, slender stems (culms), and upright growth, making it ideal for privacy screens and decorative landscaping. Native to China and Southeast Asia, it is highly prized for its versatility in both gardens and containers. This species features lush green, thin-walled canes that can grow 10 to 15 feet tall. generally hardy, thriving in sunny locations and adaptable to various climates. Polybag size of 6 inch to 5 inch.

Pseudosasa japonica, commonly known as Japanese Arrow Bamboo or Metake, is a popular, hardy, and versatile species of running bamboo native to Japan and Korea. It is characterized by its 3–5 meter (10–16 ft) height, large dark green leaves, and straight, slender culms once used for arrows. This bamboo forms dense, upright, thicket-like clumps of foliage, making it excellent for vertical privacy screens, hedges, windbreaks, landscaping etc, Also used for making crafts, baskets, fishing poles

Yellow bamboo, commonly known as Golden Bamboo (Phyllostachys aurea), is a fast-growing, evergreen running bamboo known for its vibrant yellow stems (culms) and lush green leaves. Popular for creating dense privacy screens, it can reach 15-25 feet in height and is highly valued for its tropical look, versatility in landscaping, and ability to thrive in various climates. Used for hedging, container planting, privacy screens, and decoration. Believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and positive energy to homes and offices. Requires regular watering and occasional pruning to manage growth.

Bambusa striata (often classified as Bambusa vulgaris var. striata or Bambusa vulgaris ‘Vittata’), Striped Bamboo” or “Yellow-striped Bamboo ,is a popular ornamental, tropical clumping bamboo known for its distinctive green and yellow striped culms (stems). It typically grows 8–15 meters high with a diameter of 6–10 cm, featuring bright yellow stems with green vertical stripes. Mostly used for ornamental border or solitary hedge.
